Forrest General Employees Hold Clean Up Day

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – (November 6, 2020) Inside the doors of Forrest General Hospital, employees are making a difference every day. In support of Hattiesburg Mayor Toby Barker’s recent “Make A Difference Day,” hospital employees took to the outdoors on November 6 for a campus Clean Up Day.

Hospital departments and units at the main Forrest General campus, as well as Support Services, Cancer Center, Pine Grove, Asbury Hospice House, and Home Care & Financial Services, were represented by volunteers who helped with the clean-up around the grounds of all the campus facilities. In all, more than 50 volunteers worked in all directions around each facility.

“Our employees are making a difference inside the hospital every day. And, today we are taking our We C.A.R.E. values outside for a campus clean-up day in support of Mayor Barker’s recent Make a Difference Day,” said Forrest Health Vice President, Millie Swan. “We are proud of our beautiful facility and campus and work hard on an ongoing basis to keep the inside and outside clean.”

The hospital’s Environmental Services provided gloves, bags, and trash pickers to volunteers and directed them to a specific location for clean-up duty, while Public Safety provided a safety zone for those employees working in high-traffic areas. The Food and Nutrition Department provided drinks for volunteers
